Sean:

Thanks for your code contributions.  I think you should make libSMTP 
(and all your code for that matter) LGPL or at least GPL, rather than 
just "public domain".  This way, if someone makes improvements, they are 
compelled to release the improvements it to the community.  The LGPL/GPL 
copyright approaches are very important, IMHO.
