QuickTime with Win2000 Client

Is this bug a compiling problem?

In my application are images, movies and sounds played. This 
media-files can be read from CD's or from lokal HD's or from a 
LAN-server.
With Windows2000 clients are files show as images, but not with the 
QuicktimePlayer, when the files should be readed from a server.
Movies or sounds, witch are played with the QuickTime - player, are 
played from CD's and from lokal HD's but not from any server. The 
problem does not exist on WinXP clients and it doesn't matter what type 
of server is used. If the files are first copied from the server to the 
clients HD, movies are shown.
