Try applescript to do this, i have never used it really, but it should 
be possible to do so, as both the Finder and Disk Copy are scriptable. 
If you wait until monday then you will certainly get an answer which 
includes a nice script example on how to burn something under Mac OS 9 
and OS X ;)
