option menu Btn

Hi,

I've created an option menu btn in mac OS X 10.1.5
The menu is a list of item and some hierarchical subMenu Item

My handler is

if the selectedText of me is "xxx" then

else if the selectedText of me is "yyy" then

else...

end if



This doesn't work. I cannot access my script from the selectedtext

How can I do ?
