Mac OS 9 reading from a CD

I have developed a program that uses 352 substacks that are
extremely graphic intensive.

The WINDOWS build works perfectly directly from the CD-ROM.

The Mac OS (Classic) build 'loses' most of the graphics (NO
GOOD): IF the Mac files are copied onto the Mac Hard Disk
the build works perfectly.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem???
