"Do" is worth looking at but it works for Barry only if the field itself 
contains also "get" or "put" text, with further text needed in the field 
in the latter case to identify a target object other than the message 
box. If Barry is simply storing the arithmetic expression in the field 
then
get value(field "maths")
does the trick without putting Rev commands into the field text as well.
