What specifically are your users reporting?

Can you replicate any of these yourself?

Don't think so.  AFAIK v2.8.1 GM3 is the most recent shipping version 
for OS X.

For Linux.  Mac and Win still show the shipping version, 2.8.1 (don't 
know why they've posted a Beta as the shipping Linux version).
