Mr X, his siteand a few reflections on love/hate relationships.

I have just read a message on the RR use-list re Mr X
pointing out (probably quite correctly) that the real
reasons for Mr X's "departure" from the RR 'scene' are a
fairly private business entre RunRev et Mr X.

So, nosey-bugger that I am, I went straight to Mr X's site
to find that he has made all his really rather good and
interesting RR/MC work unavailable. This is a very great
shame, and something I fail to understand.

I have an ongoing 'thing' with RunRev, yet, even at the
lowest point in my relationship with RunRev I always made
my stacks available (although, frankly, they are not quite
up to the standard of those of Mr X). It seems to me very
odd indeed that, whatever the differences between Mr X and
RunRev we (i.e. the MC/RR community) should suffer some
sort of collective punishment because of these differences.

I would appeal to Mr X (if he still reads the use-lists) to
make all his MC/RR work available to the wider community.
I, for one, believe that a lot of his work was extremely
valuable and too good to lose.

sincerely, Richmond Mathewson
