I looked into doing that. I created a separate scrollbar and was
tinkering with it. But I came down to one basic issue: graphics. I
was under the impression that I had a lot of flexibility in how I
could make the scrollbar appear visually, but when I started getting
into the nuts and bolts, failed to see how I could use truly custom
graphics. I tried to make it transparent... I tried to make it
narrower... but I did not see a way to make it truly gorgeous.

I'm finally back to work on the project closest to my heart. It's a
very happy moment for me, as this is what I most wanted to be working
on :-) I'm about 1/3 of the way thru it, and am currently working on
the GUI, which needs to be gorgeous :-) Every aspect of it needs to
be customized graphically... every window, every button, not one iota
of the built in OS graphics (look and feel) should be used.

As for the scrolling set of objects... Right now I've got three
buttons. One for the top arrow, one for the bottom arrow, and one
for the scrollbar portion. I've already coded the arrow buttons to
move everything up/down one increment. The sticky part will be the
scroll btn. I've already coded it for its own movement parameters.
But not for how it affects the objects to be scrolled.

I've decided that the number of object sets should not have an end
limit as originally planned, which makes creating a specific number
of objects sets defunct. So I've settled on a list of object sets,
with 6 always being visible, and the scroll buttons will determine
which six are visible.

That was the original plan, but I had hoped for a more fluid way of doing it.
