Rev's behavior is the opposite o0f MC's:

MC acts as a player when launched by double-clicking a document. This can
be overridden by holding down the Command key (Mac) or Control key (Win)
when double-clicking a stack file to tell MC to also open its IDE.

In Rev the default behavior is to launch the IDE, with the Command/Control
override acting to suppress the IDE to behave as a player.
