Well, we could also try to start a trend by agreeing on a few 
'standard' stack properties. May be better call them 'reserved' 
properties. They and their usage would just need to be documented. I 
believe that RunRev would participate in this so we have the same 
basic set in both Rev and MC.

I am talking about things like version, copyright text, author, 
author contact, package (for multiple-file distributions).

Of course, setting these properties would remain optional, but 
builders, plugin manager, and other utilities could use them if they 
are set. I think only mainstacks should be checked by these 
utilities, but such properties set in substacks could be used 
internally by developers to verify component versions, for example.
