Mac-keyboard on PC problem

I share the confusion others have expressed. When I look at my PC 
keyboard, Shift-9 *is* the left parentheses -- just like it is on my 
Mac. Do you have a non-standard PC keyboard? Shift-9 is the same on 
every keyboard I've ever seen.
