Various Problems

Perhaps Imised the answer to my question in subject material.   

My question is:  After prininting is started, I decide I do not want to 
continue printing the

selected material.  How do I just simply cancel the remaining printing?   I 
have an

HP Deskjet 697-C printer and connected to Windows XP on HP Computer.
