Selecting an application

OK, one more tidbit I noticed from running "ls" in a terminal.
If you check the man pages for "ls", you'll find a "-F" option which places
an asterisk after each file in the list which is executable. Note that this
DOES include scripts, but it seems to be an accurate hook into what UNIX
defines as an "application", which really is just a matter of "executable"
unlike on Mac or Windows machines.

Try running: "ls -F /usr/bin/" or on a directory with executable MetaTalk
scripts, for example.
