hi,

I'd like to write a short add-on for the karl becker's newtricks 
wordprocessor.
This add-on, in my mind, have to send files via serial port, so I made 
an experiment using the starting kit of metacard.

But the serial command I found in the help on line, seems do not work. 
I try;

   put the drivernames into field "no"

to have the name of the serial drivers, and the field 'no' remains 
empty.
After I try:

   open driver "modem:" for write
   write "ciao" to driver "modem:"
   close driver "modem:"

And nothing is happened.

I used the metacard 2.5 with imac dv 400 tangerine, 512 MB, and compile 
the application for the 68k powerbook duo 270c.


Where is the bug?
