color problems

Thanks Jaqueline and Ray.  It looks like it was specific to my computer.  I tried it on a Win95 PC and it worked as it should.  I came back to mine and changed the color 
setting from True Color (32 bit) to High Color (16 bit) and my problem was magically solved.  Does this make sense?  I should mention that my screen area is set to 1600 x 
1200.  I'm wondering if this was causing another flaky, intermittent graphic problem I was having......
