printPaperSize

What is the relatiuonship between MC's printPaperSize and the printer's Page
Setup settings?

If I first launch MC, the printPapesize is set to the right values for
8.5x11", and this is reflected when I do "answer printer".

The mystery is that I can set the page setup to anything else before
launching MC, and within MC it always reverts to 8.5x11" initially.

If I set the printPapersize on startup and then call answer printer, my
settings are ignored and the Page Setup dialg shows 8.5x11".

It seems that while I can set the printPapersize, it ha no effect on the
Page Setup dialog settings, giving us a situation in which the property acts
as read-only with regards to the dialog, but read/write in other cases.

What would be needed to have the printPaperSize affect the Page Setup
dialog?
