A short question about Xcode

Just got the same error with an iPhone 5, which is only running iOS 10.4 - so whatever is wrong, it’s not to do with the newness of the operating system in the device. Why is it so complicated? How can anyone write a single piece of software (I’m talking about XCode) that uses up more bytes than would be needed for the Library of Babel? Things have got out of hand. Rant ends.
