Can I just point out, to no one in particular on this list, that you don't HAVE TO UPGRADE TO CATALINA??? Apple did not cause your version of LC to become obsolete. YOU DID! 

That being said, you can probably downgrade, especially if your hardware is so old that you still have instalation DVDs for it. If not, there are articles on how to downgrade. Carbon Copy Cloner will be your friend if you have to wipe and reinstall to make that happen.
