Export GIF File Does Retain Frames of Animation

I am importing gif animations into my project but find that when they are subsequently exported, they are just one frame of the original animation. Here is my code:

export image  “myGif" to file "/Users/rogerguay/Desktop/“&"myGif2"&".gif" as gif
