Make numberFormat even better AND Cognitive Load

On the topic of keeping LC stupid-simple, here's of one of those ways that
LC makes ugly math fun:
#<compute last date of previous month>

put the short date into theDate
convert theDate to dateItems
put 0 into item 3 of theDate
convert theDate to short date
put theDate

#</compute last date of previous month>

On the first day, God created the heavens and the Earth
On the second day, God created the oceans.
On the third day, God put the animals on hold for a few hours,
   and did a little diving.
And God said, "This is good."
