Is there a way to trap for headset button click?

Any ideas on how I can recognize when a user presses the headset button on a Bluetooth or USB headset?

I doubt I can do that directly in LiveCode but perhaps with an External for OS (Macintosh, Windows, IOS and/or Android)?
