Has anyone got to the end of the BMI Calculator example?

Yes, I did get to the end with a few glitches. See the second part of my bug report, ignoring the last point, which was just due to my ignorance that an unadorned comma between two strings acts like the string

& “,” &

Anyway the report is at

A lot changed between LC 8.0.1 and LC 8.0.2 RC1.

The thing is still not robust IMO, and there is no ‘back’ button, which means you can’t afford to make a mistake. I also found that the app contains a call to a web service (API) to do the actual calculation, and the explanation of this is inadequate. I think the build sequence still needs a good deal of tweaking to make it work for anyone coming to LC for the first time.

Just my two Euro-cents, or is that pennies - Brexit has me confused, especially as I live in two countries, England and France… OT I know.

But I still can’t get the BMI Calculator example to work all the way through - the guidance has abandoned me at the first field, and the ‘fast forward’ arrow doesn’t do anything.

I know I am very much behind compared to all you LC 8 aficionados, but I am not yet convinced that I really understand what a widget is, so I need to see a whole working example to understand how widgets have changed the LC that I have been using for so many years.
