No it's just a variable. You could:

put url ("File:"& specialFolderPath("documents") & slash & "MyFile.txt")
into MyVar

put MyVar into
url("ftp://Username:=Password@xyz.on-rev.com/somepath/filename.txt")

or put it in one line:

put url ("File:"& specialFolderPath("documents") & slash & "MyFile.txt")
into url("ftp://Username:=Password@xyz.on-rev.com/somepath/filename.txt")
