There are some things wrong with the original that you don’t have to exactly mimic. The only rotating clockwise is one example. With two arrows (but not as close as your ones are) you would allow users to rotate either way, getting to the desired rotation in half the time on average.

It’s not an easy game by the way, and I stopped playing it because it was a bit frustrating.
