Should be simple: rename a stack that contains behavior buttons?

You don’t really say what the “bad things” are.  If you can't rename the stack and then loop through all the controls that have behaviors and update them, loop through the controls FIRST, set their behaviors to empty, rename the stack, then restore the appropriate behavior references.
