Obviously the problem is that one can copy raw text from LiveCode, but 
cannot paste it into anything that
expects styled text.

This is easily proven:

I copied a script in Livecode and attempted to PASTE it into a 
LibreOffice Writer document: no joy.

I then attempted to "PASTE SPECIAL" - unformatted text - into the same 
LibreOffice Writer document and it worked!
