You could use this LC-stack 'Python-Helper' (=raspiCollectionStack 19). It has a timing built in and cards 2 and 8 (choose at left) are ready-made-usable for this, just hit enter in the input field.

I dare say, this will result in a feature request by you for building lists. There are also other examples that LC can't do itself ("bignum"), which would be lasso nice to have built in.
