US at conference?

I'm in Nottingham, at one of my brother's place. I thought about taking a plane form East Midlands Airport, but roughly speaking the cost for the plane or the train is the same, and train times are more likely to be exactly on time. Means it will take 4-5 hours to get up there, but I'll be relaxing on the train, working on the revision of my book!
