I've just tried that with the one from 5.5.5 and still have a monochrome 
AppBrowser . . .

I honestly cannot be bothered going back through version after version 
to see if one will
yield a colour AppBrowser.

Anyway, that is not a long-term solution: what happens when the "little 
dears" download
their version from RunRev?
