Transparent hilitecolor

Not sure exactly what effect you're looking for, but if your field has
black text, you could set the hiliteColor of the field to white and set
the ink effect of the field to multiply.  This will cause the hilite to
appear transparent.

Please explain again if that's not the effect you want.
