GPL 3???

Well, you'd know this stuff better than I would, but my understanding is
that there were problems with some of the third-party components that were
not LGPL2-compatible, so the licensing agreement had to be changed to
accomodate them. I think the situation is still in flux (maybe swapping out
the third-party components for others better suited to a dual-licensing
arrangement). It's a work in progress, and I'm quite happy not to have to
think about that aspect of things.
