Trouble with Android

Just downloaded the Android SDK linked from the lesson at http://lessons.runrev.com/s/lessons/m/4069/l/27389-how-do-i-become-an-android-developer-on-a-mac and built a simple test stack with one button. Test in Android and nothing but a black screen. This is a new stack with one card and no scripts whatsoever.

Livecode 5.5.4 and Android SDK Platform Android 2.2, API 8, revision 3

on OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3
