Using spaces/backdrop on OSX

Thanks Peter.  I forgot to mention I also tried this without a backdrop -
same problem.  I'm on 10.6.8 also LC 4.6.2.

Not really a big deal but I think I will probably enter it at the QCC just
so it's on record.
