Also keep in mind that even with Release Candidates, they only means that the SYSTEM is RC. When Tiger first came out, one of our guys who was a developer was passing around a gold RC1 install disks. With much swearing and woe, they discovered that Safari and some other components were still beta. Worse yet was the revelation that they could not install the release version of tiger over top of the RC, as it would hopelessly hose the OS. 

I warned them. They didn't listen. They suffered. I gloated. :-)
