"meteoric" need not mean much

The Rev Up that just arrived talks about the meteoric rise of Android, and while it's nice to have a target market, that need not translate to sales of apps. Someone I know has a popular game that he has published for iPhone and Android, and in two months of time he sold 80,000 copies of the iPhone one, and maybe 300 of the Android one. His sense is that Android owners are more likely to want things for free.
