Apples actual response to the Flash issue

I think that the combination of portability/touchscreen opens up a few new tricks; an example:

It seems to me that Apple has its own versions of technologies that accept a greater variety of user inputs, perhaps mitigating the need for Flash.  As others have mentioned, we also see here a prime example of "heavy hype" in action...
