You're right, Mark...
but a well known motto here in France is: 
"pourquoi faire simple, quand on peut faire compliqué"
(what's the need to make things simple, as it's so easy to make them
complicated)

joke apart, the problem is I don't have a fixed IP*, it may vary, within
some limits
 

* due to my ISP, Orange ;-)
