App on Linux - really slow... any ideas why?

I think Mark may be referring to his experiences with 3.0.

Peter didn't seem to have problems with the editor in that bug report,
but the rest of us did.

Maybe that bug is one of the many bugs that Kevin refers to as having
been fixed.  Maybe they forgot to update the bug report.
