Well, you could put up a "Do it yourself" kit on a website . . .

I use various Chess variants for teaching EFL and Critical Thinking;
writing rules is an extremely salutary exercise in getting your ideas in
order in a new language. I use either my own Hexagonal Chess variant:

or 3 Sided Chess:

However I am working on a large variant of Grand Chess and aim to
have all the stuff uploaded within a week.

On my website I have supplied all the necessary pictures so that kids
can download and print out everything, and with a little effort get their
own games up and running.

The best occasions are when students/pupils of mine (I have used these
games at all levels over the last 20 years) come up with their own
variations.
