Hi William,

It morning here, and I see this big thread.

My comment is:

REVOLUTION during last few years include v1 version
    of "Valentina for Revolution"

This have strike a lots of developers I believe.

Now I think you see that problem was that in Revolution you have use in fact
NOT installed Valentina 3.x but Valentina 1.x. This is why you was not able
open that files in Vstudio.

BTW, if you open menu HELP -> Plugins of Vstudio,
you will see here list of Vstudio plugins.
Double click on [] for v1 plugin to enable it.
Now your Rev-made dbs in v1 format will work in Vstudio also.
and you will see clear that it is " Valentina 1.x files".
Although using of v1 is not what you want actually.

So, once again, I CC this letter to Lynn Fredricks and Kevin with bug ask to
throw away Valentina 1.x dll from the default Revolution installer and
correct docs of Revolution about Valentina.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, Kevin.
    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

And again to all Revolution developers that want use Valentina with REV DB.
You must specify " Valentina2"

    put revOpenDatabase("Valentina2","",dbPath,"","") into mDbID

But not just "Valentina"

    put revOpenDatabase("Valentina","",dbPath,"","") into mDbID
                       ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

To use Valentina 2.x and 3.x builds.
