If your Japanese text is encoded with shift-jis then try converting
the text from shift-jis to unicode and then setting the unicodeText of
the field. Maybe this will work:
on mouseUp
put field "fURL" into tURL
get url tURL
get uniencode(it, "Japanese")
set the unicodetext of field "fResult" to it
end mouseUp
