Hi, Found it! I was passing in a hard-wired "parent" node instead of using the one returned by revAddXMLNode. The path name gets changed when you add multiple Nodes so that it becomes "failure[1]", "failure [2]", etc. Thanks a lot for your Help All the Best Dave
