autosave revaltArchive?

Yes I did down load from site, loaded most of the plugins from site to try
out, what else could be running to cause a autosave and a new archive file
to be created every 3rd thing I do?

Nope, revAltArchive does not auto-save. It only saves when you press it's
icon from the altPluginToolbar. There's another utility that autosaves, but
it's not revAltArchive.
