Text2Speech XP test

I might as well post here now  ;-)
The only script in that stack (Rev 2.6.1) is:
on mouseUp
   revSpeak fld "bob"
end mouseUp

Another XP user had no sound at all, even checked his Speech Properties config.
So, now I am wondering how reliable it is to use T2Speech on XP ??
Any comments from anyone on reliability?
