Secure FTP & Rev

I am hoping to find a secure method for uploading and downloading files
to an ISP using a Rev solution. Regular Rev FTP sounds pretty insecure, with
passwords & usernames being passed only in base64 (or so it seems).

I usually use SFTP  (application named  Fugu) for transferring files up & down
but would like to do this from a Rev application. I need something 
that will work
on OS X and Windows.

I've read some list posts concerning SSH & FTP but have not found anything
I can use.

Any suggestions?
