Maxwell,

if your looking to work on a mac, check out the RevZeroConf external,  
it's an external that provides zeroconf/bonjur/rendevouz (or  
whichever french word they choose this month) features to rev, this  
way, your stack can announce services on a network and the other  
clients may query the network for such services.
