Why my birthday present is fantastic for programming with Runtime Revolution

Yes, RR folks, its my birthday, and being the self-serving
chap that I am I went out and bought myself a Belkin
Nostromo N52:

this 'thing' is advertised as a GAMEPAD - but I have
virtually no interest in computer gaming: I bought it
because I suffer from RSI and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: these
raise their ugly heads every time I do any really
concentrated computer work, and especially affect my right
hand.

The Nostromo N52 cost me 83 Leva here in Bulgaria (i.e.
about 23 pounds UK, $38 US) and is a programmable keypad.

I spent last night setting up a series of settings for
Runtime Revolution. I worked this morning on some RR stuff
and the whole experience was both considerably more
comfortable and a bit faster than working with a regular
keyboard.

[AND, if you are wondering - NO, I don't have shares in
Belkin]

I am not normally one to 'Rave To The Grave' about some
daft attachment one can pay lots of money to attach to
one's computer - but this one is the attachment I have
absolutely no regrets about buying.

sincerely, Richmond Mathewson
