This isn't a religious issue. Humans are humans, and they don't read 
manuals on either platform.

The critical element at play here is that -- before Sony's abuse of the 
public trust -- users had no reason to expect that merely inserting a 
MUSIC CD would install software.

PC users are not responsible for the corporate decisions of Sony and 
Microsoft.

The thread is marked as [OT]; the best way to kill an OT thread is to 
not perpetuate it.  I don't think you want to initiate a relevance contest.

A user here requested info on auto-run just last week, and the week 
before we had a rather lengthy discussion of the implications of 
auto-run for developers of portable apps.

If the facts are inconvenient for Sony and Microsoft, don't shoot the 
messenger, take it up with Sony and Microsoft.
