this remembers me of the first version of "Panther" (OS X 10.3.0) where 
the sepearator lines
in ALL menus were not visible so it looked like there was a gap in the 
menus...

But 10.4.1 is not far away, i'm sure :-)

My "Tiger" will arrive someday this week...
